VIRTUAL ENTERPRISES – GLOBAL TRADING
Trading and Learning Globally
Australian Virtual Enterprises (VEs) trade internationally with up to 5,500 other virtual firms in 42 countries worldwide.
Most of the established VEs (or Practice Firms or Training Firms) are in Europe, but there is strong growth in the USA, Canada, Asia and South America.
This international economy gives participants an opportunity to learn about international business, import and export procedures, foreign currencies, exchange rates and so on. They learn about global business by doing business internationally.
VEA is a member of the international organisation, ‘EUROPEN eV - PEN International' based in Essen, Germany. Access to virtual firms overseas facilitates the development of cross or multinational VEs, or a head office with branches in other countries. It also enables VEs to be developed that use raw materials from different countries or regions with the final product being manufactured in Australia, or incorporating Australian content.
